Budget room

The Budget room measures 9 square metres and is built for the kind of trip where the room is somewhere to sleep, not somewhere to spend the day. If you are out early and back late, there is little sense in paying for floor space you never use.

Small does not mean cramped: the bed is a full queen size, 160 × 200 centimetres, not a narrow single. The room has its own bathroom with a rain shower, a smart TV, a safe for your passport and valuables, free Wi-Fi and USB charging points beside the bed.

What it costs

The Budget room starts at €79.00 per night. Breakfast at Kibbel’s Kitchen is €15.00 per person and is not included; a space in our parking garage is €18.00 per day. The booking form above shows the actual price for your dates.

Who it suits

City breaks over a long weekend, a single business night, couples who are out all day. If you want more room to move – a longer stay, more luggage – the Standard room at 15 m² is the better fit. Walking the Via Baltica? Rates for pilgrims are on our page for pilgrims.

Arrival and departure

Check-in is from 15:00 and the room is yours until 11:00 on the day you leave. 24 hours before arrival we email you an invitation to check in online; once that is done you receive an access code that opens every door. No reception hours to catch, however late your train gets in.

Breakfast and location

Breakfast is served in Kibbel’s Kitchen from 6:30 to 10:00 on weekdays and from 7:00 to 11:00 at weekends, and the lobby keeps drinks and snacks available around the clock. The house is at Kirchenstraße 42 in Altona-Altstadt, about 300 metres from Königstraße station – four minutes on foot, and from there direct trains to the airport, the main station and Altona.
