Is the Baltica a hostel with dormitories?

No. Every room is a private room with its own bathroom, and we do not sell individual beds. The one exception is pilgrims: with a pilgrim credential you can book a single bed in a twin or shared room.

What does a room cost per night?

The Budget room of 9 m² starts at €79.00 per night, the Standard room of 15 m² at €99.00 per night. What you pay for your own dates depends on availability.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

No. The breakfast buffet costs €15.00 per person and is added to your stay when you book.

When is breakfast served?

The breakfast buffet at Kibbel’s Kitchen is open Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 10:00 and at weekends from 7:00 to 11:00.

Can I eat breakfast here without staying the night?

No. Breakfast is for house guests only – we do not serve it to visitors from outside.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 15:00, check-out is until 11:00.

There is no reception desk in the evening – how do I get in?

24 hours before you arrive we email you an invitation to check in online. Once you have done that you receive an access code that opens every door, so you can arrive late in the evening without anyone waiting up for you.

What is in the room?

Every room has its own bathroom with a rain shower, a smart TV, a safe, free Wi-Fi and USB charging points by the bed. The Budget and Standard rooms differ only in floor area and in the width of the bed.

Is there parking at the hotel?

Yes. The building has its own parking garage. A space can be added to your stay for €18.00 per day.

How do I get here from Hamburg Airport or the main station?

From Hamburg Airport the S1 towards Wedel runs to Königstraße without changing, about 40 minutes. From Hauptbahnhof the S1 and S3 take around 15 minutes. Königstraße is 300 metres from the door, a four-minute walk.

What does a pilgrim credential get me?

A valid pilgrim credential is the condition for the rate of €29.00 per night and for the pilgrim breakfast at €10.00. There are no seasonal restrictions.

How do I book a pilgrim bed?

Pilgrim beds cannot be booked online. They are available by phone on +49 (0) 40 2372 4470, by email to mail@baltica-hamburg.de, or in person at the door.
